Commonly known as the Blue Echeveria, this succulent forms a rosette of blue-grey leaves. As conditions cool, the leaves may develop pink tones. A stem carrying red and yellow flowers may rise above the foliage in spring. This succulent typically grows to 30 cm tall and the same wide, growing best in a full sun position on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of moderate frost, cool climates, coastal conditions, and dry periods. This Echeveria makes for a great pot plant and is often used in rock gardens, or grown where something hardy and a little unusual is wanted. The wonderful leaf shape and colour makes this a stand out plant.
