This small succulent features thick and fleshy leaves on short stems. The dark green leaves have a rough texture and afford quite an unusual appearance. Each stem typically grows to 10 cm tall and 6 cm wide, performing best when grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It will tolerate extended dry periods. This succulent is commonly grown indoors as a potted plant or added to a rock garden planting. It is well suited to office environments where its small size allows it to live on a shelf or desk without being intrusive.
