Echinopsis pachanoi, commonly known as the San Pedro Cactus, is a widely grown and popular cactus. It features slender, upright stems, that are olive-green in colour. Showy, cream-coloured flowers are often borne during summer and only last 2-3 days as it grows to about 4 m tall and 1 m wide. Echinopsis pachanoi is commonly grown to border an entrance, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, planted as a feature or specimen, or included in Mediterranean or rock gardens.

Echinopsis pachanoi, commonly known as the San Pedro Cactus, is a widely grown and popular cactus. It features slender, upright stems, that are olive-green in colour. Showy, cream-coloured flowers are often borne during summer and only last 2-3 days. It typically grows with an upright habit to 4 m tall and 1 m wide, and performs best when grown on a well-drained site in full sun. It is tolerant of drought, moderate frost, coastal environments, and some wind, but is not tolerant of wet soils. Echinopsis pachanoi is commonly grown to border an entrance, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, planted as a feature or specimen, or included in Mediterranean or rock gardens.
