Corsica No. 2 is a popular variety of Mandarin that produces medium sized fruit that are sweet and slightly tangy. The fruit ripen in winter, are easy to peel with few seeds, and will hold on the tree for several weeks before going off. The lush foliage is glossy and dark green and becomes adorned with white flowers in late summer. This selection is fast growing and typically reaches 2.5 m tall and 2 m grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, and protected from heavy frost. Citrus will generally tolerate moderate frost once established. Corsica No. 2 is commonly included in a mixed planting, maintained in a container, used in a courtyard garden, or grown as a specimen.
