Bay Gold is a popular variety of Tangelo that bears bright orange fruit that juicy and rich in flavour. The fruit in spring have skin that is thin and easy to peel. This vigorous tree fruits prolifically and typically grows to 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. It performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site that is slightly acidic and well-sheltered. It will tolerate moderate frost as well as short periods of dry but should be protected while it establishes.
