Through summer it bears masses of dark pink flowers which blend nicely with the variegated green and cream foliage. This evergreen typically grows to 1.5 m tall and the same wide without a support structure but much larger when it has something to climb. Without support it will grow more like a groundcover. It grows best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in either full sun or partial shade. It will tolerate light frost once established.
