Bougainvillea Bees Knees (aka Beesnees) is a dwarf variety that grows compactly with few thorns, yet produces impressive flowers. Through summer it bears impressive, white flowers which are perfectly complemented with lush, green foliage. This evergreen typically grows to 1.5 m tall with a support structure. Without support it will grow more like a groundcover. It grows best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in either full sun or partial shade. It will tolerate light frost only once established, and may become deciduous in cooler climates. Bougainvillea Bees Knees is commonly grown as a spectacular climber on a trellis, used as a groundcover, or planted anywhere the beauty of this plant can be enjoyed. Magnificent specimens have been observed growing in pots that are regularly trimmed.
