Through summer it bears outstanding, bright pink flowers which are complemented with fresh-green foliage. This evergreen typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide without a support structure but much larger when it has something to climb. Without support it will grow more like a groundcover. It grows best when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in either full sun or partial shade. It will tolerate light frost once established and in such environments in may become deciduous or partially evergreen.
