Distictis buccinatoria, commonly known as the Red Trumpet Vine or Mexican Blood Trumpet, is a vigorous, evergreen climber that produces an abundance of tubular, red flowers from summer through autumn. The foliage is lush, leathery, and green, and if left untrimmed, this climber can grow to 25 m. Distictis buccinatoria is commonly used to cover pergolas, garden arches, fences, walls, or other supporting structures. It is a great addition to the garden and will cover an area quickly.
