Hardenbergia Regent is an evergreen climber which is grown for its pretty flowers and lush foliage. It bears masses of deep purple flowers on slender stems from late winter through spring which literally transforms the plant. Complementing the showy flowers are the lush dark green leaves which are held densely. Hardenbergia Regent is commonly grown along fences, trellises, or pergolas, or allowed to sprawl as a groundcover if it has nothing to climb. It is well suited to planting around outdoor living areas and including in cottage gardens.

Hardenbergia Regent Details

Hardenbergia Regent is an evergreen climber which is grown for its pretty flowers and lush foliage. It bears masses of deep purple flowers on slender stems from late winter through spring which literally transforms the plant. Complementing the showy flowers are the lush dark green leaves which are held densely. It typically grows to 3 m tall and the same wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. This hardy plant is tolerant of most soil conditions and climates including moderate frost though will grow best on a well-drained site in full sun. Hardenbergia Regent is commonly grown along fences, trellises, or pergolas, or allowed to sprawl as a groundcover if it has nothing to climb. It is well suited to planting around outdoor living areas and including in cottage gardens.
