Hedera canariensis is a variety of Ivy grown for its foliage and rapid growth. This evergreen climbs walls, trees, etc and may reach 30 m if left untrimmed. The leaves are broad, leathery, and dark green with a glossy sheen. Hedera canariensis is commonly used to cover large walls or fences, trained over arches or pillars, used as a groundcover, or maintained in a container where it is allowed to trail.
