Hedera helix Golden Ingot is a variety of Ivy grown for its colourful foliage and is often grown as a potted plant. This evergreen perennial climbs walls, etc and may reach 2 m. It climbs using aerial roots which cling to the surface and if it doesnt have something to climb it will creep along the ground as a groundcover. The leaves are relatively small and are dark green and gold. Best performance with this Ivy is achieved when grown in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods, moderate frost, and coastal environments. Hedera Golden Ingot is commonly grown on fences, trained over arches or pillars, used as a groundcover, or maintained in a container and allowed to trail over the sides. The foliage is commonly used in floral arrangements.
