Bluebell Creeper
Commonly known as Bluebell Creeper, this is an evergreen climber grown for its pretty, blue flowers. Clusters of the small, “nodding” flowers are borne in summer and are followed by purple berries in autumn. The mid-green leaves provide a pleasant backdrop to the flowers. It will climb provided it has a structure to support it and may reach 3 m or more. Without support it will grow as a sprawling mound to about 1 m tall and the same wide. Best performance with this plant is achieved when it is grown on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun or partial shade. It will tolerate light frost once established. The Bluebell Creeper is commonly grown as a climber, maintained as a shrub, or allowed to trail over a wall or the like.
