Tweedia caerulea, Tweedia Blue, Southern Star, Star Flower, Oxypetalum, Blue Tweedia Flower, Tweedia Milkweed, Blue Tweedia Milkweed
Tweedia caerulea, commonly known as the Southern Star plant or Blue Tweedia, is an evergreen climber grown for both its dainty foliage and flowers. It carries small, dark green leaves which are covered with fine felt. Clusters of star-shaped, pale blue flowers with darker centres are borne through summer. It will grow upwards of 6 m if left untrimmed but can easily be contained to smaller sizes. Tweedia caerulea is commonly trained on trellises, fences, and the like, and is well suited to using in outdoor living areas.
