Cedrus atlantica Glauca, commonly known as the Blue Atlas Cedar, is a conifer grown for its striking blue foliage and lovely form. The needle like foliage is short and held in dense clusters off horizontal branches to give the tree a somewhat layered appearance. Upright cones are borne in spring which provide additional interest. It grows with an upright and narrow habit, becoming broader as it matures, eventually reaching 15 m tall and 10 m wide. It can easily be contained with trimming and performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is hardy to frost, cool climates, periods of dry, wind, and coastal environments.
