Picea engelmannii is a conifer native to Mexico and features colourful foliage and an attractive form. The blue-grey needles on this evergreen are held densely on gently angled branches and give the tree a somewhat tiered appearance. It is a slow growing tree and will eventually reach 20 m tall and 6 m wide. Picea engelmannii is commonly grown as a colourful specimen in parks, included in woodland plantings, used in an avenue planting, or grown to provide shelter and lovely aesthetics.
