Taxus baccata Fastigiata Aurea is a variety of Yew grown for its attractive foliage and form. This evergreen has a rigid, upright branching habit which results in a tight columnar growth habit. Young shoots are golden yellow but darken with age. Small, green flowers open spring and result in small, red berries as it grows to 2.5 m tall and 80 cm wide. Taxus baccata Fastigiata Aurea is commonly used to line an entranceway, used as a backdrop for smaller plants, or grown as a hedge. Landscape gardens often use this plant for its stunning colour and architecture.
