Adiantum hispidulum, commonly known as the Rough Maidenhair Fern or Rosy Maidenhair Fern, is a NZ native that features short and showy fronds. Young fronds may have pink tones before they mature to become dark green. It grows as a clump to about 50 cm tall and the same wide but will spread via its roots to colonise a larger area with time. Adiantum hispidulum is well suited to growing indoors as a potted plant or around outdoor living areas and in mixed plantings.
