Slender Tree Fern, Alsophila cunninghamii, Gully Tree Fern, Cyathea cunninghamii, Ponga Tree Fern, NZ Ponga, Punga Tree NZ
Cyathea cunninghamii, commonly known as the Gully Tree Fern, produces a tall and slender, brown trunk and can grow up to 15 m tall with a spread of 6 m. The dark green fronds are soft and delicate, and held horizontally as they radiate from the top of the trunk. Cyathea cunninghamii is well suited to cool and damp areas and is great for providing a sub-tropical feel to a garden. It is also used for revegetation projects, added to native gardens, used in woodland gardens, planted alongside streams, or included in a mixed planting to provide height and texture.
Cyathea cunninghamii is currently unavailable, but we do have other other amazing species and varieties of Cyathea available.
