The Breeze Flax Lily is grown for both its foliage and flowers. It features spikes carrying delicate, blue flowers in spring. These are held neatly above the dark green, strap-like leaves. The flowers are followed by small blue berries in summer. It will typically grow to 1 m tall and the same wide and has storage roots that enable it to survive a wide range of environmental conditions. It grows best, however, when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is hardy to moderate frost, coastal environments, dry periods, and cool climates.
