Dianella tasmanica Wyeena is a compact, herbaceous perennial, renowned for its variegated foliage. The lush leaves have a dark green centre with a cream-coloured margin and are very aesthetic. This NZ Flax Lily grows as a tidy clump to about 80 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of dry periods, cool climates, and moderate frost. Dianella Wyeena is commonly mass planted in borders or as a groundcover, included in a mixed planting, or planted around outdoor living areas.
