Phormium cookianum Surfer is a smaller variety of Flax that features sword-like leaves coloured olive-green and bronze. The foliage is complemented with clusters of yellow flowers in summer which are borne off long stems. This variety typically grows to 80 cm tall and the same wide with a tidy and compact habit. It grows best and produces the most intense leaf colourings when planted in full sun on a well-drained site.
