Dianella Cherry Red is a compact, clump forming grass grown for its lovely foliage. This evergreen perennial has grass like foliage that is a fantastic green and red-pink colour. It grows to about 75 cm tall and the same wide and becomes adorned with violet-blue flowers in spring and summer. It is a hardy plant that will tolerate moderate frost, reasonable shade, short periods of dry, and most soils, except the extremes of wet and dry. Dianella Cherry Red is commonly included in a mixed planting or border, used in cottage gardens, or mass planted either on a bank or as a groundcover.
