Dianella Weeping Kate Plant

The Dianella Weeping Kate plant is a variety of NZ Flax Lily grown for both its foliage and flowers. It features spikes carrying delicate, blue flowers in spring. It will typically grow to 45 cm tall and 40 cm wide and has storage roots that enable it to survive a wide range of environmental conditions. It grows best, however, when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site. It is hardy to moderate frost, coastal environments, dry periods, and cool climates. The Dianella Weeping Kate plant is commonly mass planted in borders or as a groundcover, included in a mixed planting, or planted around outdoor living areas. This is an easy plant to grow that is very rewarding and affords a spectacular display, particularly when it is mass planted.
