It grows as a very tidy clump to about 60 cm tall and 80 cm wide, performing best and producing the best leaf colouring when planted in partial shade on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of frost, wind, coastal environments, and most soil conditions, except extreme wet or dry. Phormium Blondie is commonly added to mixed and border plantings, included in coastal gardens, planted around outdoor living areas, or maintained in a container. It is also well suited for mass planting on a bank and in these situations provides an impressive display.
