It will tolerate frost, coastal conditions, wind, poor soils, moderate shade, and cool climates. Phormium Moonraker makes a fantastic addition to mixed plantings, borders, and coastal gardens. It is commonly planted around water features as well as pool and barbecue areas along with other living areas. It is also well suited for mass planting on a bank and in these situations provides an impressive display.
