“French Sugar” is a variety of Fig that produces fruit with a green-brown skin and pink flesh in autumn. The medium sized fruit and produced early-mid season. It grows as a large, spreading tree and will bear fruit after 3-5 years. It does not require another Fig to be planted alongside to produce fruit. This deciduous tree carries large and deeply lobed, green leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It has a very tidy, rounded growth habit, typically reaching 4 m tall and 3 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best results with this variety are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained site.
