Lemon Eureka is a popular variety that produces fruit all year round once established. The fruit are bright yellow, thin skinned, relatively easy to peel, and have that great lemon flavour. The glossy, dark green foliage provides a lovely backdrop to the small, white flowers in summer. This heavy cropping, evergreen shrub typically grows to 2.5 m tall and 2 m wide, and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, protected from heavy frost. It will generally tolerate moderate frost once established. The Eureka Lemon is commonly included in a mixed planting or maintained either in a container or in a courtyard garden.
