Lemon Lemonade Details

Lemonade is a variety of lemon that produces fruit from winter through spring. The fruit are pale yellow, relatively easy to peel, and strongly scented with a mild, refreshing flavour. The glossy, dark green foliage provides a lovely backdrop to the small, white flowers in summer. This heavy cropping, evergreen shrub typically grows to 2 m tall and the same wide and can be trimmed as necessary. Best performance with this variety is achieved when it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site, protected from frost, though it will generally tolerate moderate frost once established. The Lemonade Lemon is commonly included in a mixed planting or maintained either in a container or in a courtyard garden.
