“Meyric” is a variety of Walnut selected for its superior nut production. It produces high yields of large, flavoursome nuts in autumn. To achieve high yields, it is important to have another Walnut variety planted alongside to aid pollination. This is a fast growing and stately tree that will typically grow to 7 m tall and 6 m wide. The foliage is mid-green and develops yellow tones in autumn before falling. Walnuts grow best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, semi-sheltered site. They are tolerant of frost, col climates, and dry periods. This tree makes a lovely specimen that can be grown alone or included in a mixed planting with the added advantage of tasty nuts.
