Sundrop and Trevatt are both popular varieties of apricot that bear tasty fruit in summer. The rootstock keeps this deciduous tree to about 4 m tall and 3 m wide, though it can be trimmed as necessary. Best results will be achieved when the tree it is grown in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, though a late frost in spring can reduce yields. It is not well suited to sub-tropical climates as yields can be lower due to lack of winter chilling.
