Avocado Hashimoto is grown for its large sized fruit in winter. The glossy, green skinned fruit have flesh that is green-yellow, creamy, and with a rich flavour. The large leaves are green and leathery. It typically grows to 4 m tall and 3 m wide and can be trimmed as necessary. It is recommended that another variety, e.g., Hass or Reed is planted nearby to aid pollination and fruit set. Best performance with this variety is achieved when planted on a well-drained, sheltered site in full sun and protected from frost. Avocado Hashimoto is commonly used for fruit production or grown as an impressive specimen in a large garden.
