Feijoa sellowiana Mammoth, commonly known as Pineapple Guava, is a popular Feijoa variety due to its large fruit and good yields of tasty fruit in autumn. It produces large and oval fruit with a thick skin. The flesh is slightly gritty but very tasty. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide but is often trimmed to smaller sizes. Feijoa Mammoth is commonly grown for fruit production, trimmed into a hedge, used for screening, or added into a mixed planting.

Feijoa Mammoth, commonly known as Pineapple Guava, is a popular Feijoa variety due to its large fruit and good yields of tasty fruit in autumn. It produces large and oval fruit with a thick skin. The flesh is slightly gritty but very tasty. The fruit result from bright red flowers in summer which are set amidst the dark green leaves. This evergreen shrub typically grows to 3 m tall and 2 m wide but is often trimmed to smaller sizes. It performs best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, fertile site. Sites prone to heavy frost should be avoided, particularly during establishment. It is tolerant of coastal environments, dry periods, and some wind. Feijoa Mammoth is commonly grown for fruit production, trimmed into a hedge, used for screening, or added into a mixed planting. The Plant Company recommends planting at least two varieties to provide for a longer period of fruiting and to ensure better pollination.
