This deciduous plant carries large, deeply lobed green leaves and has a very tidy growth habit and typically reaches 4 m tall and the same wide. Best results with this variety are achieved when planted in full sun on a well-drained site. It is tolerant of cool climates, frost, and short periods of dry. Fig Black Pouta is commonly grown for fruit production or as a specimen. It looks great in a mixed planting and will attract birds into the garden.
