“April White" is a variety of peach selected for its large yields of tasty fruit. It produces juicy, white fleshed fruit with a pink blush in late summer-autumn. It grows as an upright tree and bears lush, green foliage which develops yellow tones in autumn before falling. This deciduous tree will typically reach 5 m tall and 3 m wide, but can be trimmed as necessary. Best yields with this variety are achieved when it is planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered, fertile site, with good soil moisture during dry periods. It is tolerant of cold climates and frost, though late frosts in spring will reduce the yield. “April White" is often added to a mixed planting, grown as a specimen, or planted specifically for fruit production. NB: This variety will produce fruit without the need for another (pollinator) variety planted nearby.
