Plum McLean is a variety of plum that produces sweet, little, cherry sized plums. White blossoms adorn the tree in spring and give rise to the fruit in summer. This variety does not need another tree planted nearby to aid pollination. This deciduous tree grows with an upright habit to about 3.5 m tall and 3 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of cool climates and frost, though a late frost can reduce yields. Plum McLean is commonly planted as a pollinator for other plum varieties but also makes for a lovely specimen.
