Plum Rose Zee produces mid-sized, dark red fruit in early summer. The flesh is yellow, sweet, and juicy. White blossoms adorn the tree in spring and give rise to the fruit in summer. This variety does not require another plum variety planted nearby to aid pollination. This deciduous tree grows with an upright habit to about 5 m tall and 3 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of cool climates and frost, though a late frost can reduce yields. The Rose Zee plum is commonly planted for fruit production and makes for a lovely specimen.
