Plumcot
A Plumcot is a cross between an apricot and a plum. The fruit resembles a plum but has apricot colouring. The flesh is sweet with a strong apricot flavour. White blossoms adorn the tree in spring and give rise to the fruit in early summer. This deciduous tree grows with an upright habit to about 5 m tall and 3 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. A plumcot is commonly planted for fruit production and makes for a lovely specimen.
