Niagara Grape Plant

The Niagra Grape plant produces very tasty fruit that ripen in autumn. The seedless berries are large, green-gold when ripe, and are juicy with a great aroma. Birds love the fruit and will come from far and wide to feast if they are not protected. It grows as a deciduous vine, carrying lush, mid-green leaves which develop yellow tones in autumn before falling. It is generally trained onto a support structure and pruned right back each year. Left untrimmed it will easily grow to 5 m in length. This variety grows best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, and dry periods once established. The Niagra grape plant is commonly trained onto a fence or trellis for fruit production or grown as an attractive climber.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about Grape Niagra? We are here to help.

A couple of questions. Are your grape vines grafted? And I’m on clay but well drained. Is there any particular variety that grows better in clay?

Hi, our vines aren't grafted. For clay soils I would suggest planting them on a mound so at least the top roots can breath should the clay below become saturated.
