Carex coriacea, commonly known as Cutty Grass, is a NZ native grass commonly found in swampy areas. It features slender foliage which is dark green and held densely as it grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide. Carex coriacea is perfect for revegetating or enhancing wetland areas, planting around pond or stream areas, or mass planting either as a groundcover or on a bank.

Carex coriacea, commonly known as Cutty Grass, is a NZ native grass commonly found in swampy areas. It features slender foliage which is dark green and held densely. It typically grows to 50 cm tall and the same wide, performing best on wetter soils in full sun or partial shade through it will grow well on better drained soils also. It also tolerates short periods of dry, moderate wind and frost, and shaded conditions. Carex coriacea is perfect for revegetating or enhancing wetland areas, planting around pond or stream areas, or mass planting either as a groundcover or on a bank.
