Carex maorica is a fast growing, NZ native sedge that features bright green, arching foliage. It produces distinctive, brown flower spikes through summer as it grows to 1 m tall and the same wide. Carex maorica is commonly used for environmental plantings such as establishing or restoring wetland areas, or planting around pond and stream margins.
