Juncus sarophorus, commonly known as the Broom Rush, this is a Rush common to wetland areas throughout New Zealand. It features green leaves that age to brown, and grows as a clump to about 1 m tall and the same wide. It grows best in full sun or partial shade across both dry and wet soil conditions. It is tolerant of frost, cool climates, wind, and coastal conditions. Juncus sarophorus is ideal for wetland revegetation, coastal plantings, or anywhere a hardy Rush is required.
