Liriope muscari Gold Band Details

Liriope muscari Gold Band produces green leaves edged with gold, and showy flowers. Flower spikes rise above the foliage in summer bearing masses of lavender coloured flowers. The flowers are long lasting and blend wonderfully with the foliage. This herbaceous perennial grows as a tidy clump to about 35 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when positioned in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. It is tolerant of cool climates, moderate frost, dry periods, and coastal environments. It may die back during winter in colder regions to regrow in spring when conditions warm, but otherwise remains evergreen. Liriope muscari Gold Band is an excellent choice for cottage gardens, adding to a mixed planting, including in borders, or for planting around outdoor living areas.
