Liriope muscari Silverlawn

Liriope muscari Silverlawn is grown for its lovely flowers and variegated foliage. This herbaceous perennial grows as a clump and produces arching, green leaves with a silver overtone, and striped with cream. Short stems rise above the foliage in summer to bear showy, lilac-purple flowers. The flowers are long lasting and standout wonderfully against the foliage. It typically grows to 30 cm tall and the same wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained, sheltered site. This Lilyturf is tolerant of cool climates, moderate frost, dry periods, and coastal environments. It may die back during winter in colder regions to regrow in spring when conditions warm, but otherwise remains evergreen. Liriope muscari Silverlawn is an excellent choice for cottage gardens, adding to a mixed planting, including in borders, or for planting around outdoor living areas. This plant is used extensively because of its hardiness, versatility, and great appearance year-round.
