Lomandra longifolia Breeze, commonly as Mat Rush, is a tough and reliable ornamental grass with outstanding aesthetics. It features lush and wispy, mid-green foliage that is held with a gentle arch. Small, yellow flower spikes in spring are borne amidst the foliage and combine nicely with the foliage. It grows as a clump to about 50 cm tall and 60 cm wide, performing best when planted in full sun or part shade on a well-drained site. This is a hardy plant that tolerates frost, drought, cold climates, wind, coastal climates, and most soil types, except extreme wet.
