Restio quadratus is a large, ornamental grass that forms a dense clump of green, feathery, erect stems. The stems have interesting, tan coloured bracts. Through spring it bears fluffy, brown seed heads which gives the plant an interesting, dual coloured appearance as it grows to 1.7 m tall and 1 m wide. Restio quadratus is great for growing beside water features, for including in borders, adding to a mixed planting, or mass planting for an impressive display.

Restio quadratus is a large, ornamental grass that forms a dense clump of green, feathery, erect stems. The stems have interesting, tan coloured bracts. Through spring it bears fluffy, brown seed heads which gives the plant an interesting, dual coloured appearance. It typically grows to 1.7 m tall and 1 m wide, performing best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site that does not dry out. It is tolerant of frosts, coastal conditions, and moderate wind. Restio quadratus is great for growing beside water features, for including in borders, adding to a mixed planting, or mass planting for an impressive display.
