Dampiera linearis is a low growing plant that is often used as a ground cover. It carries dark green leaves on a densely branched plant which becomes adorned with masses of dark blue-purple flowers during summer. It typically grows to 40 cm tall and 60 cm wide, and performs best on a well-drained, sheltered site, in partial shade. It requires good summer moisture and will tolerate light frosts once established. Dampiera linearis is commonly used as a ground cover and a mass planting will give a truly outstanding display. It is also well suited to cottage gardens.
