Veronica odora prostrata

Veronica odora prostrata is a NZ native shrub grown for both its elegant, spreading foliage and flowers. The foliage comprises small and glossy dark green leaves, which are held on prostrate branches. These are adorned by masses of small and showy, white flowers through spring and autumn. It grows with a spreading habit and typically reaches 15 cm tall and 1 m wide. This variety grows best when planted in full sun or partial shade on a well-drained site, and will tolerate frost, coastal environments, wind, and periods of dry, but does not do well on wet, heavy soils. Veronica odora prostrata is commonly included in borders, used as a groundcover, planted so it can spill out onto a path or over a wall, included in rock and “white” gardens, or planted around outdoor living areas such as pools.
