Hemiandra pungens, commonly known as Snake Bush, is a shrub from Australia that grows with either a prostrate or trailing habit. The mid-green leaves become adorned with mauve flowers in spring. The flowers transform the plant and are great for attracting birds. It typically grows to 30 cm tall and 2 m wide, and will grow over anything in its path. Hemiandra pungens is commonly used as a groundcover or allowed to spill over walls or mass planted on a bank.
