Lampranthus Raspberry Explosion is a variety of the commonly known Iceplant, and is grown for its masses of pretty flowers through late spring and summer. The raspberry pink flowers and produced in such numbers they cover the plant, and are held above grey-green, succulent-like foliage. This evergreen typically grows to 40 cm tall and 80 cm wide, growing best when planted in full sun on a well-drained, sheltered site. It will tolerate extended dry periods, coastal environments, and light frost. Lampranthus Raspberry Explosion is ideal for container growing, using in borders, planting around living areas such as pools, mass planting as a groundcover, or adding to a Mediterranean, coastal, or rock garden. It does have a cascading nature and looks amazing when planted so it can trail over walls, walkways, or steps.
